It’s war! Chef Nick will be battling against five other chefs for culinary supremacy at a special event to raise money for the Shawnigan Lake Residents Association as they continue their fight to stop contaminated soil being dumped near their watershed.
Organized by sponsors Shawnigan Lake School, Cowichan Pasta and Vancouver Island Salt Co., the culinary battle will help to support the residents as they wait for news of a BC Supreme Court ruling about permits for dumping toxins close to the lake on Vancouver Island.
Held in the prestigious Shawnigan Lake School’s Marion Hall on Saturday May 28, 5pm-midnight, this fun event features six small plates (one from each chef, you pick the winner!), cocktails and late night snacks. Cuban-Canadian singer/songwriter Adonis Puentes, a JUNO and Grammy award nominated artist, will be playing live music to keep the peace and live and silent auctions will be offering amazing prizes.
Tickets cost $75 and include a drink, six small plates and snacks – buy a group of 10 tickets and save $10 per ticket! Chef Nick will be up against Lisa Ahier from Sobo, James Walt from Whistler’s Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar, Stephan Drolet from Victoria’s Camile’s, Robert Clark from Vancouver’s The Fish Counter and Robert Belcham from Campagnolo and Campagnolo Roma in Vancouver.
This is war! Bring it.
